Anu Gupta, MPhil, JD became a lawyer because he admired people like Thurgood Marshall, Ruth Bader Ginsber, and Mahatma Gandhi who used the law to create social transformation. As a young lawyer, he quickly realized that racial inequalities remain despite legal advances. In 2013, he left his legal career to develop contemplative tools to change the hearts and minds of people who enforce the law. His ed-tech company BE MORE with Anu is advancing equity and belonging in our world by addressing the root causes of racial and gender disparities. Anu has spoken about his work on the TED stage, SxSW, and the Ten Percent Happier podcast. He’s a graduate of the Mindful Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training program at Spirit Rock and sits on the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies board.
