When the right idea meets the right audience
When teacher and author Shamash Alidina collaborated with us on a short-form video series, his breathing practice demonstration struck a chord and went viral across Mindful's social channels.
Working with the team at Mindful has been an absolute joy. They are wonderfully professional, thoughtful, and authentic, always focused on creating a true win-win partnership. Collaborating on content sparked some of my best video ideas, and seeing the strong engagement from the community was deeply rewarding.
— Shamash AlidinaWays we collaborate
Collaborations take different shapes depending on your work, your goals, and what fits our editorial calendar. Many begin with a single article and grow from there. Depending on the collaboration, your work could appear as:
On Mindful.org and in Mindful magazine, with full editorial support.
Audio meditations on Mindful.org and the Mindfulness.com app.
Guided practices and conversations on 12 Minute Meditation.
Produced with our team and shared across social channels.
Co-created campaigns, live sessions, and workshops.
Your articles, practices, and features, collected in one evergreen home on Mindful.org.

How it works
Apply
Pitch an article or apply as a featured teacher — one simple form, about ten minutes.
We review
Our editorial team considers every application against our themes, calendar, and upcoming opportunities.
We reach out
If your application is a fit for a current opportunity, you'll hear from us within 30 days with a collaboration proposal.
We create together
We agree the shape of the collaboration, then co-create and launch it — with our team supporting you at every step.
We receive a wonderful volume of applications, and calendar fit plays as big a role as quality — so if you don't hear from us this time, please don't read it as a reflection of your work. Applications stay on file, and you're always welcome to apply again as our themes evolve.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a large following to collaborate?
No — We collaborate with teachers at every stage, from established authors to emerging voices. What matters most is the quality and authenticity of your teaching, and how well it serves our readers.
Do you pay collaborators?
On occasion, yes, but most collaborations are based on mutual exposure and the credibility of publishing with Mindful. Mindful provides publication, promotion, and production support across our channels, often with links back to teacher’s work.
Do you charge a fee for collaboration?
No — We will never charge teachers for collaborations with Mindful. Working with teachers is mutually beneficial, so we encourage as much collaboration as possible. For organisations and teachers wishing to advertise with Mindful, we offer a variety of advertising packages. These are not the same as collaborations though.
Can I submit a finished article?
Yes — you can attach a draft with your application, or simply pitch the idea. Articles for Mindful.org typically run 1,000–1,500 words, and our editorial team works with you to shape the final piece.
What topics do you cover?
Mindfulness, meditation, wellbeing, contemplative science, psychology, and mindful living. Each month follows an editorial theme, and the strongest pitches are the ones that connect your expertise and unique insights with what our readers are exploring right now.
When will I hear back?
If your application is a fit for a current opportunity, we'll be in touch within 30 days. If not, it's most often a matter of timing and calendar fit. We don’t have the resources to respond to all applications, but even if you are unsuccessful, we’ll keep your information on record for future opportunities. You are also welcome to apply again if you have something new to share. Please limit your applications to one per month though, to avoid overwhelming our editorial staff.
I'm a mindfulness organisation, not an individual teacher. Can I apply?
Yes — we collaborate with organisations, training bodies, and teaching teams as well as individual teachers. Use the same form and tell us about your organisation.
