There Are Heroes Among Us

One in five Americans is a hero, according to a professor from Stanford.

A recent study by Stanford University professor Philip Zimbardo, supported by the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, found that 20 per cent of Americans qualify as heroes—meaning they had helped during a dangerous emergency, taken a stand against injustice, or sacrificed for a stranger.
