The “No Email Day” campaign is meant to encourage people to stop using email for 24 hours, in an attempt to bring about awareness of how email has become abused and/or overused. It encourages face to face interaction, as well as the use of the telephone and written letters.
All of this, in an effort to keep us from relying on email and to allow us to focus.
