Few words evoke as many immediate emotions and thoughts as the word mother. For some, the word brings up grief, regret, or even anger. For others, it conjures memories of safety, protection, and care.
This, our very first relationship, can be described in a million ways, for a million reasons. Even long past childhood, these descriptions and stories shape and influence who we are.
In the true spirit of mindfulness, we think it’s important to be with all aspects of this complicated role. From celebrating what’s most beautiful to compassionately sitting with what’s most difficult, mindfulness offers a way to see and honor motherhood in its fullness.
