Elizabeth Gilbert

Elizabeth Gilbert is best known for her 2006 memoir Eat, Pray, Love, which chronicled her journey alone around the world, looking for solace after a difficult divorce. The book was an international bestseller and made into a movie starring Julia Roberts. Gilbert is also the author of a short story collection, Pilgrims, and the novels Stern Men, The Last American Man and Committed, the sequel to Eat, Pray, Love. She lives in rural New Jersey with her husband.
