Steve Flowers

Steve Flowers, MA, MFT has been deeply invested in meditation practice since 1974 and is committed to bring mindfulness into medicine, healthcare and society. He is in private practice specializing in mindfulness-based psychotherapy and couples therapy for the treatment of stress-related conditions. Steve is the author of The Mindful Path Through Shyness: How mindfulness and acceptance can free you from shyness, social anxiety and avoidance. Steve's newest book, “Living With Your Heart Wide Open: how mindfulness and compassion can free you from inadequacy, unworthiness and shame” was written with his friend and co-author Bob Stahl and will be released by New Harbinger Publications in January, 2011.

In addition to his private practice, Steve is a popular public speaker and conducts Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programs online and at Enloe Medical Center in Chico, California.

Steve is certified as a provider of Continuing Education and with Bob Stahl conducts fully accredited mindfulness retreats for physicians, psychologists, nurses and licensed mental health professionals. This popular and transformative mindfulness retreat program is now in its 13th year.
