Free Series: The Loving Brain with Dr. Rick Hanson

From July 15 to September 2, neuropsychologist Rick Hanson will host a series of talks on new research, ancient wisdom, and clinical insights into stress, relationships, and working with emotions.

“Like a lot of people, I’ve always been interested in how to be happy,” says Rick Hanson in a video introducing the series. “What’s really engaged me is to try to find answers to that question in the three pounds of tofu inside the coconut.”

The free conference series will discuss ways to change our thinking around romantic relationships, sexuality, family life, how to raise children, and how to work out struggles with others.

There will be weekly hour-long interviews with seven guests, including Tara Brach, a long-time meditation practitioner and founder of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington, and Christine Carter, a parent coach and author of Raising Happiness: 10 Simple Steps for More Joyful Kids and Happier Parents. You can watch the interviews live or through the conference archives.
