How's your breath? No, not the smell. The speed. The depth. Fast and fluttering, or slow and smooth? Notice it. Don't try to fix it.
Thoughts racing around like a hamster trapped in a wheel? Take 5 deep breaths, expanding on the inbreath and slowing on the outbreath.
