MSNBC reports on the tie between meditation and empathy

A recent story by MSNBC’s Clara Moskowitz tells us that “Meditation may increase a person’s ability to feel empathy and benevolence for others, according to a study published March 26 in the journal PLoS ONE.”

The study was conducted by Richie Davidson, Antoine Lutz, and the rest of the team at the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin.

(More on that book, here.) Click here for more info on that radio appearance. Sample quotes from Richie, from the show: “I do meditate every day.” “I couldn’t do what I’m doing without it.”
