Gathering of Mindful Professionals Conference

Mindful.org is pleased to be co-sponsoring The Atlantic Centre for Contemplative Science and Technology's second annual gathering of mindful professionals on November 1-3 in Atlantic Canada. Join us!

There are many mindful professionals in Atlantic Canada, people who have a personal practice of meditation/mindfulness/contemplation/self-reflection and are, or would like to be, applying the techniques and insights from their practice in their professional lives.

Increasingly over the past decade these professionals have been introducing contemplative applications in the areas of education, health care, helping professions, the arts, government, NGOs and more. Yet there have been few opportunities to share experiences and learn from one another.

The “Gathering of Mindful Professionals,” taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, brings together professionals in a contemplative environment to share their experiences, support one another, and explore new contemplative applications.

The gathering begins on Thursday with a keynote talk titled “The Mindfulness Movement: Can the Quiet Revolution Go Mainstream?” delivered by James Gimian, publisher of our upcoming magazine—Mindful. Friday is dedicated to presentations by Mindful professionals from Atlantic Canada, sharing their experiences, successes and challenges.

It all will conclude on Saturday with a panel discussion on “mindfulness and societal transformation” followed by explorations of opportunities for education, research and collaboration for Mindful professionals in Atlantic Canada.

Hope to see you there!
