Alice Walker

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the American Book Award, Alice Walker is the author of various novels, including The Color Purple, Possessing the Secret of Joy, and Now Is the Time to Open Your Heart. She has also published several children's books, volumes of poetry, and collections of non-fiction. Born is Eatonton, Georgia, Walker now lives in northern California.
